Wangaratta-based artist Marie Salinger has an instinctive, spontaneous style, responsive and gestural, creating lively works with a strong sense of movement. Inspired by her residency in Collemacchia, Italy, artist Marie Salinger presents a series of vivid and adventurous paintings, created using an intuitive, feeling‑driven approach to making. Salinger has chosen the exhibition title, AETHER, alluding to the ancient belief in a luminous medium between earth and sky and the elusive 'otherness' that often accompanies the creative process but resists clear description.

AETHER is on now until 3 June 2026 in the WPACC Foyer Gallery.
